Jayapura, Papua (ANTARA News) - A Trigana Twin Otter plane skidded off runway as it was to take off from Mulia Airstrip in the eastern Indonesian province of Papua on Friday.
All the five people on board the plane escaped the accident, a source in Mulia, capital of Puncal Jaya district, told ANTARA.
The plane had its nose, right wing and landing gear damaged, the source said.
Until Friday afternoon, security authorities were still looking into the cause of the accident.
The Trigana Air Service`s district manager in Sentani meanwhile could not be reached for comment.
