JAKARTA (Antara): Publicly listed automotive firm PT Astra International set a target to grab 51 percent of the country's automotive market this year.
"We predict our car sales could reach 150,000 units this year. It is 51 percent of the country's total sales which are expected to reach between 370,000 and 400,000 units," Astra director Darmawan Danusasmita said Tuesday.
He said Astra would rely on the sales of Toyota and Daihatsu cars to meet its target.
"We are quite optimistic with our target as the domestic car sales this year look better than that of last year thanks to the growing car loan," he said.
