… The Shift in Human Nature

You're starting to see integrity change. Awareness recalibrates integrity, and the Human Being who would sit there and take advantage of another Human Being in an old energy would never do it in a new energy. The reason? It will become intuitive, so this is a shift in Human Nature as well, for in the past you have assumed that people take advantage of people first and integrity comes later. That's just ordinary Human nature.

In the past, Human nature expressed within governments worked like this: If you were stronger than the other one, you simply conquered them. If you were strong, it was an invitation to conquer. If you were weak, it was an invitation to be conquered. No one even thought about it. It was the way of things. The bigger you could have your armies, the better they would do when you sent them out to conquer. That's not how you think today. Did you notice?

Any country that thinks this way today will not survive, for humanity has discovered that the world goes far better by putting things together instead of tearing them apart. The new energy puts the weak and strong together in ways that make sense and that have integrity. Take a look at what happened to some of the businesses in this great land (USA). Up to 30 years ago, when you started realizing some of them didn't have integrity, you eliminated them. What happened to the tobacco companies when you realized they were knowingly addicting your children? Today, they still sell their products to less-aware countries, but that will also change.

What did you do a few years ago when you realized that your bankers were actually selling you homes that they knew you couldn't pay for later? They were walking away, smiling greedily, not thinking about the heartbreak that was to follow when a life's dream would be lost. Dear American, you are in a recession. However, this is like when you prune a tree and cut back the branches. When the tree grows back, you've got control and the branches will grow bigger and stronger than they were before, without the greed factor. Then, if you don't like the way it grows back, you'll prune it again! I tell you this because awareness is now in control of big money. It's right before your eyes, what you're doing. But fear often rules. …

Cars for high officials to switch from gasoline to gas

The government plans to equip all official cars used by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s Cabinet members and other high-level state officials with gas converter kits as part of the oil-to-gas conversion program.

“We have appointed [state-owned aircraft maker] PT Dirgantara Indonesia to produce the kits. But if the company fails to provide all the demanded kits, we will import more kits to fill the gap,” Coordinating People’s Welfare Minister Agung Laksono told reporters at the presidential office on Monday.

Agung added that the government expected to reach its goal by April.

The oil-to-gas conversion campaign was launched to support government plans to limit the amount of subsidized fuel used by private cars in Java and Bali, which will be gradually carried out from April.

The government hopes the program will allow it to reduce the fuel subsidy.(dic)

Dutch car fuel prices at record high

The price of petrol has never been so high in the Netherlands as at present. The recommended retail price for gasoline stands at over 1.75 euros a litre. Diesel is now at nearly 1.5 euros a litre, just one euro-cent short of the record high.

“At present prices, the average motorist will spend about 100 euros more on fuel this year than in 2011,” says a spokesperson from the United Consumers group.

Prices have been driven up on the international oil market over recent months. This is being blamed on tensions between Iran and the West and on the unrest in Syria.

Dutch fuel levies also went up at the start of 2012. They are now reported to be the highest in Europe. The fall of the value of the euro against the US dollar has also had an effect as oil is paid for in dollars. This has also pushed Dutch fuel prices up.

New Delhi. Senior executives at Ford Motor Company have said Indonesia could host a production facility for the US automaker in the near future as the country shows potential to overtake Thailand as the biggest car market in Southeast Asia.

Thailand is currently Ford’s primary production hub in Southeast Asia, producing 425,000 units annually that serve demand in the region.

“We think Indonesia will be the largest market in Asean. I cannot say exactly when. Thailand is a larger market today, but we believe Indonesia will pass Thailand eventually,” Joe Hinrichs, Ford’s president of the Asia Pacific and Africa, said at a dinner with journalists in New Delhi on Wednesday.

“We believed Indonesia’s growth potential is significant, and I am so excited about Ford’s presence there.”

The reporter was in New Delhi at the invitation of Ford, which paid for the trip.

Thailand was the largest car market in Southeast Asia in 2010, with 857,00 units sold, while Indonesia came second with 764,000 units sold.

Bullish Indonesian automotive executives in December estimated that the nation was on track to sell about 870,000 units in 2011.

Sudirman Maman Rusdi, the chairman of Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), has projected that Indonesia could sell 1 million units by 2013.

Analysts say consumer-related sectors, including automotive, will see stronger demand as rising per capita incomes and a low-interest environment spur consumption.

Alan Mulally, president and chief executive of Ford, echoed Hinrichs. “Over time, we’ll have our operation there, too, because the market is great,” he said.

He also did not mention a specific timeframe for the siting of an Indonesian production facility.

Ford introduced a new compact sport utility vehicle, called the Ford EcoSport, at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi. The company did not indicate when the product would enter the Southeast Asian market, but it said it would be the third out of eight products the company aims to introduce by mid-decade.

Ford does not manufacture in Indonesia. Rival carmaker General Motors announced last year that it would invest $150 million to reactivate its assembly plant in Bekasi.

Although a small player in the Indonesian car market compared with Japanese giants such as Toyota and Mitsubishi, Ford has seen strong growth in its car sales. In the first 10 months of 2011, it sold 13,819 units, a 152 percent rise from the same period in the previous year.

Lawmakers Now Interested in Student-Made Car

Some lawmakers, who last year were criticized for ostentatious lifestyles and flashy cars, have expressed interest in following the Solo mayor’s example and driving a locally made car.

Solo Mayor Joko Widodo, or Jokowi as he is better known, is now using a car assembled by SMK 2 Solo students along with Kiat Motor, while his deputy, F.X. Hadi Rudyatmo, is using a car assembled by the students of SMK Warga Solo, also in cooperation with Kiat Motor.  

The 1.5-liter engine Sport Utility Vehicles cost about Rp 95 million (Rp 10,500) each. 

On Wednesday, House Speaker Marzuki Alie said that he wanted to see and try out the car branded “Kiat Esemka” — a reference to how SMK (vocational high school) is pronounced, and Kiat Motor, one of the biggest car repair shops and dealerships in Solo.  

“I will visit it,” Marzuki said. “We should support its production so we could have an Indonesian built car.” 

Asked whether he would buy the car, Marzuki said: “If I have enough money, I’ll buy it.” 

A number of lawmakers are reportedly planning to order the car.  

A lawmaker from the United Development Party, Arwani Thomafi, said he really wanted one.  

“I’m not only interested, but desperate to see and try the car made by our people,” Arwani said. “Who else should buy it but us?”
