JAKARTA (AP): Two jetliners reversed into each other on the tarmac of the Soekarno-Hatta international airport on Thursday, damaging both planes but causing no injuries, a company official said.
Investigators were examining the collision between a Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737 and a 747 operated by Saudi Arabian Airlines at the airport just west of the capital, Jakarta, said Garuda's operation director Ari Sapari.
Part of the Garuda plane's tail, which was taxiing for take off, was damaged in the accident, he said.
The other plane, which was not carrying any passengers, was also damaged, he said.
Indonesia has a seen a string of airline accidents and safety incidents in recent years, including a jetliner crash last month that killed 102 people.
