BENGKULU (Antara): A South Korean investor has expressed interest to build railway in Bengkulu by visiting the province in Sumatra island.
"Today (Tuesday), the investor go to Padang Ulak Tanding, Rejang Lebong regency, which is the starting point for the planned railway. The investor will go to Pulau Baai port to see the last station," Bengkulu Governor Agustrin Maryono said.
He futher said if the investor agreed to invest in Bengkulu, the construction of the railway, which was planned to be financed with provincial budget, would be funded by the investor.
The investor is in the same group with giant firm Hyundai.
