Samarinda, E Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - Samarinda, East Kalimantan`s provinicial capital, has been inundated since last Thursday (Jan 31) due to the overflowing of Karang Mumus River.
Traffics was disturbed as many of the city`s main roads were flooded by 50-cm-deep flood waters.
Many of the city`s residents in flood-affected areas evacuated themselves to safer areas, mostly to houses of relatives living in flood-free parts of the city.
Incessant downpours falling in Samarinda over the past few days had caused the Karang Mumus River to overflow.
