PT Pertamina is reviewing the contract involved gas station owners as there have been fuel shortages in several regions in Indonesia since January 2.
“We will review the contracts. If the shortages are because of a owner’s carelessness, Pertamina will take over the gas station,” said Pertamina's corporate secretary, Toharso, on Wednesday (7/1), in Jakarta
He said that Pertamina was monitoring fuel supplies on a 24-hour basis.
“There is no reason that fuel stations should not have fuel supplies. Distribution is running normally,” said Toharso.
He went on to say that there were only one or two fuel stations running out of supplies in several regions.
“Fuel stations run out of supply when they are late in sending in delivery orders or paying their bills,” said Toharso.
