A Boeing 737-900 plane of Lion Air skidded on Monday afternoon on the runway when it had landed at the Soekarno-Hatta international airport, none passengers were injured, state news agency Antara reports.
The airport administrator Edwar Silloy said that the incident took place at 3:43 p.m, and officers were evacuating all passengers in the airport.
The jetliner took off from Makassar of South Sulawesi at 2:30 p.m, at local time with 168 passengers on board landed in bad weather marked by heavy rain. The airport authority has closed the south runway until midnight to accelerate the evacuation process. (ewd)
