INDONESIA (The Jakarta Post): Engine trouble delayed a Mandala Airlines Boeing 737-200 flight from Pattimura airport in Ambon, Maluku, to Makassar, South Sulawesi, and then to Jakarta.
The RI-661 jetliner was suppose to leave the airport Friday but it was still under repair by midday Saturday.
Details of the engine problem remain unknown as the company has not yet released a statement regarding the delay.
More than 100 passengers were left stranded at the airport. Some stayed the night, waiting for the repairs to be completed, while others returned their tickets and took another flight.
""We don't want to take the risk of flying on an aircraft suffering from engine trouble," said passenger Rosdianty, who took another flight to Makassar.
