British Airways says in merger talks with Qantas

LONDON (Reuters) - British Airways said on Tuesday it was in talks about a potential merger with Australia's Qantas Airways via a dual-listed company structure. BA also said in a statement that merger talks between it and Iberia were continuing. 

BA shares were up 15 percent at 161 pence.
