New Wings at Lion Air:

Several Lion Air staff in traditional attire witness the delivery of the first of the budget airline's new aircraft during a reception ceremony Monday at Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

The ceremony was attended by Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Transportation Minister Hatta Radjasa.


Lion Air has purchased 60 new Boeing 737-900ER aircraft to augment its existing fleet of 30
aircraft.


The new planes will fly both domestic and international routes. (JP/J. Adiguna)
